In OC, we are lucky to have an economy that brings many big tech and startup jobs. Between 600 new jobs from Epson and new funding for local startups, the tech talent growth is inspiring. To be blunt, venture funding goes directly into hiring employees. While there’s a lot of great young talent coming from universities, startups need to grow with experienced talent first, which comes from successful tech companies. A data science certificate program will help upskill/reskill non-technical talent locally and FRG opening up shop amongst other recruitment professionals can help fill needed roles effectively. Filling these open roles as quickly as possible helps companies get back to what they do best: build good tech and continue to grow, which benefits our ecosystem.
